Summary

Coordinate the efficient operations of the Office Services Department.  Monitor the onsite print shop activities to ensure an efficient operation and high quality copy at a reasonable cost.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Office Services activities.  Responsible for the daily operation of the printing operation including maintenance and ordering of supplies.  Maintain cost containment program on all facets of the department operation.  Responsible for incoming mail sort.
  • Maintain bulletin boards and other ad-hoc requests.
  • Thorough knowledge of printing functions including equipment maintenance, and management of material resources. 
  • Ability to operate printing and other basic office machines.
  • Apply specialized technical skills to provide quality printing services.
  • Analyze printing requests to determine most cost effective and timely method of completing the project.
  • Manage multiple ongoing projects, with the ability to Multitask.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of in-house personnel, outside commercial printers and vendors regarding materials needed and printing requests which cannot be completed in-house.
  • Maintains cleanliness of work area.
  • Practice and complies with all Company policies and procedures including safety and work rules, etc.
  • Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
  • Practices and complies with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.).
  • Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.

Desired Experience

Strong sense of urgency.   Ability to problem solve and analyze department needs with minimal guidance.  Requires the ability to incorporate creative and innovative approaches to various projects by taking initiative and working independently.  Able to maintain a positive and composed attitude while performing within stressful situations and handling complex issues.    Able to handle sensitive/confidential information.    Must be a team player.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.  Proficiency in Excel required and proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Access preferred.   Able to perform according to physical requirements.  Able to work a flexible schedule and meet the demands of a 24 hour a day operation.

Ability to apply team concepts to achieve team objectives.  Interpersonal training and coaching experience strongly preferred.  Demonstrated success managing in a union environment.  Ability to represent the Department to various levels of management and employees in all types of situations. 

Desired Education

High School diploma or GED and must have demonstrated ability to read, comprehend and record information applicable to the job.
