Bringing Home the Dough
Starting up to $57,000 DOE.
Responsible for ensuring that Flowers’ consumers and customers receive excellent service and that all questions and/or concerns are handled in an appropriate and timely manner through established, appropriate channels. Maintains the efficient processing of consumer complaints. If needed, redirect questions or complaints to the appropriate department and/or subsidiary. Interact with consumers by phone, email or mail on a daily basis initiating appropriate follow-up to ensure consumer satisfaction after as-signed actions have been closed. Requires constant interaction with work group and other departments at the primary work location.
Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Communicates with consumers who call, email, write or contact company by website, either by direct contact or by immediate written response, handling high volume concerns per day.
• Acts as a good will ambassador for Flowers Foods and its subsidiaries in dealing with consumer.
• Responds to consumer inquiries in a timely manner.
• Analyzes situation for handling, determining urgency and assignment of actions through established procedures. Routes concerns to appropriate facility and/or to appropriate department within the company for subsequent contact or management.
• Enters concerns and amends the Everest database for Flowers Foods and its subsidiaries.
• Follows up on all outstanding concerns; closes all actions assigned for the handling of a concern; closes concern when all actions are completed and when consumer is satisfied.
• Audits concerns and procedures. Communicates these with the Consumer Relations Manager as appropriate.
• Assists the plant concern coordinators with the proper treatment of concerns and with the entering and closing of concerns as appropriate.
• Creates queries and reports as requested by corporate or plant management personnel.
• Researches territories for bakery assignments.
• Updates ZIP code files for territories.
• Appropriately manages the process for samples sent in by consumers, coordinating actions through established procedures.
• Practices and complies with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.).
• Performs other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.
Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications
• 1+ years of experience required in consumer relations or customer service capacity. Knowledge of consumer contact data base systems, database reporting tools and personal computer operations, intermediate to advanced software skills, to include Excel, Word, Lotus Notes, Power Point. SAP preferred.
Additional Ingredients: Essential Job Requirements
• Associate degree in business, marketing or related field preferred; or equivalent years of experience.
