Bringing Home the Dough
The Vice President, Investor Relations & Corporate Responsibility serves as a senior strategic leader who is primarily responsible for shaping, communicating, and executing the company’s investor relations strategy while championing corporate responsibility and other strategic initiatives.
This role, while working closely and ensuring alignment with members of the senior leadership team, is expected to professionally and consistently communicate the company's strategy, growth opportunities, and business initiatives to the investment community. An addition to serving as a primary spokesperson to the investment community, this role also provides insights to executive leadership on market expectations, and leads enterprise-wide programs that strengthen the company’s reputation as a responsible, transparent, and long-term focused organization.
Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities
• Develop and lead a comprehensive investor relations strategy aligned with the company’s long-term business objectives.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for investors, analysts, and financial media.
• Craft and deliver consistent, transparent, and compelling messaging regarding company performance, strategy, capital allocation, and market outlook.
• Draft investor communications, which could include: press releases, executive talking points, conference call scripts, quarterly earnings presentations, investor website content, fact sheets and investor presentations.
• Manage quarterly earnings preparation, including scripts, Q&A, presentations, and financial disclosures in partnership with Finance, Legal, and Executive Leadership.
• Monitor peer performance, industry trends, investor sentiment, and valuation drivers; provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team and Board of Directors.
• Collaborate with finance and legal teams as needed to ensure compliance with SEC regulations, financial disclosure requirements, and internal governance standards. Partner effectively with other internal stakeholders to build a better understanding of the company and to execute job responsibilities efficiently and effectively.
• Analyze our business to understand how investors and analysts will think about our business today and in the future, and to anticipate investor questions and concerns.
• Lead efforts for meeting roadshows, investor outreach and presentations, and briefing materials.
• Identify and communicate ways for the IR program to continuously improve, whether from a strategic, tactical or operational perspective.
• Develop long-term relationships with industry analysts and investors to communicate company strategy position the business for long term growth.
• Manage relations with third-party vendors.
• Lead the strategy, development, and execution of the company’s corporate responsibility program, ensuring alignment with business priorities and stakeholder expectations.
• Establish and maintain KPIs, data tracking systems, and governance processes for performance as it relates to the corporate responsibility program.
• Advise executive leadership and the Board on emerging ESG trends, risks, opportunities, and regulatory developments.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives on market dynamics, stakeholder expectations, and long-term value creation.
• Shape company narratives that integrate financial performance with sustainability priorities.
• Collaborate closely with Corporate Communications on messaging strategy, crisis communication, and reputation management.
• Lead or participate in ad-hoc assignments as business needs dictate.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Sarbanes – Oxley, Safety, etc.)
• Perform other duties which are deemed to be an integral part of the position, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.
Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications
• At least ten years of experience with Investor Relations, Investment Analysis, Finance, Accounting, or Investment Banking/Research roles, showing progression in areas of responsibility.
Additional Ingredients: Essential Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field.
• Advanced degree and or certifications (JD, MBA, CPA, CFA) strongly preferred.
Salary Range- $200,000 - $225,000
