Salary range up to $110,000 / year.
The Regional Account Manager serves as a trusted advisor with account management experience in the e-commerce sector, focusing on strengthening relationships and enhancing Flowers’ reputation among customers and key decision-makers. This role involves building and implementing retail customer strategies aimed at achieving volume growth targets and sales goals, while also working to expand market share and distribution. The Regional Account Manager is responsible for managing accrual budgets and increasing profitability. Additionally, this position requires collaboration with customers to support effective product assortment and facilitate new item authorizations, all while driving effective regional strategies and tactics.
Attention to detail and a willingness to adapt quickly is critical. Must be eager to lead Flowers Foods cross functional teams through the adaptation of unique and complex ecomm operations. A solid understanding of AR is necessary for success.
Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities
- Promote a customer-centered culture that strives to exceed customer needs, requirements, and expectations
- Work directly with DSD sales team to optimize performance
- Develop and manage customer relationship within all levels of assigned retailers, buyers, and key decision makers
- Contribute to customer strategy ensuring local Flowers business objectives are achieved
- Partner with the BU/Brand Teams and Marketing to understand trends and consumer preferences and direct account strategy to maximize potential
- Work with the Director of Regional Accounts and the Brand Teams to Develop a Sales Plan that delivers Flowers sales and margin objectives within the Trade Promotion Management and accrual funding structure
- Partner internally with various other departments to properly plan, communicate and ensure excellent distribution by Flowers various distribution departments
- Achieve/exceed all established key sales measures and targets
- Contribute to the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
- Creatively negotiate marketing and advertising program commitments to maximize sales
- Manage trade and settlements
- Ensure open and effective lines of communication and collaboration with VP of Sales, supporting Regional Operations team, BU/Brand Teams, Marketing, Supply Chain, and other functions to achieve enterprise goals
- Foster an environment that engages and educates the regional team with responsibility and the tools to achieve goals at region and building level
- Lead, coach, and support retail team. Build, develop, a high performing sales leadership at region level and build regional culture to ensure high performance results
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Sarbanes – Oxley, Safety, etc.)
- Perform other duties which are deemed to be an integral part of the position, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicableoperating rules, policies, and procedures
- Ability to travel as needed both via air and motor vehicle
Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications
- 4 years’ experience working in Retail Account Management and CPG sales. Past success in teamwork and guiding sales.
- 2+ years’ management in ecomm space
- Prior experience working with Amazon is preferred.
- DSD Background (preferred)
