Summary

Responsible for creating and supporting SAP and related solutions for Flowers Food’s supply chain processes including the design and configuration of SAP Procure to Pay/Materials Management module to effectively meet documented business requirements. This role also creates functional documentation for enhancements, integrations, and data conversions.

 

The Lead Process & Solutions Supply Chain Analyst is an expert in the functionality of the SAP Procure to Pay/Materials Management and integration with other supply chain modules and execution of design, build, test, and change activities in the Supply Chain application area. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Design solutions and implement in SAP supply chain solutions in Procure to Pay/Materials Management
  • Design, implement and deploy SAP solutions to achieve defined business goals. Maintain skills in SAP applications process design and configuration; SAP application design, development, integration, testing and deployment; and SAP application technical architecture
  • Create functional design documents for RICEF objects such as Reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements & forms and translate these Functional Specifications (RICEF) into Application design documents, co-coordination with ABAP team, testing of new functionality or Enhancements, Prepare Test plans and Test scripts, Perform Unit tests and integration tests
  • Work directly with business units gathering requirements to analyze, design and or implement technology best practice business changes to technology with business strategy and goals
  • Adapts existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems
  • Understands the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals 
  • Uses considerable judgment to determine solution and seeks guidance on complex problems
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments with guidance, decisions often impact the team in which they reside
  • Manages small teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) or a business unit within Flowers Foods
  • Show cross functional expertise on SAP Procure to pay/Materials Management integrating areas such as MM, IM, Logistics
  • Work with third party or internal teams to build minor enhancements in SAP Procure to pay/Materials Management area
  • Execute SAP supply chain functional activities in partnership with Business Relationship Management Supply Chain Team, SAP Development, SAP Analytics teams and the SAP managed and SAP related 3rd party supply chain application service providers
  • Mentor SAP Analysts
  • Support Management in the assessment of emerging SAP technologies against business needs and interpret business value
  • Ensure the consistency and maintainability of new and existing SAP supply chain applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing technical and quality standards, guidance and reference architectures
  • Develop productive relationships with business across the organization to influence how SAP supply chain applications can enable new sources of value
  • Execute methodologies (i.e. Agile, Waterfall) and practices for the application life cycle management in line with best practice and practical experience of continuous improvement
  • Ensure that supply chain applications processes (including those of external service providers) are conducted in line with corporate social responsibility, environmental and technical policies and applicable standards and legislation
  • Provide support in conjunction with infrastructure and operations to ensure SAP supply chain applications perform to Flowers’ standards. Assist analysts and developers in resolving issues
  • Seek out continuous improvement opportunities and provide input and recommendations
  • Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor. May interact with peers and/or management levels at a client and/or within Flowers Foods

  • Perform other duties deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including, but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures

Desired Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in SAP Procure to Pay/Materials Management application design, development, implementation processes.
  • 3+ years deep configuration experience in Purchasing master data, Sourcing and Purchasing transactions, Release procedure, intercompany purchase, subcontracting and consignment processes, goods movement, physical inventory, invoice verification.
  • 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience building cross-organizational consensus with exposure to technology providers and/or business clients.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of SAP capabilities in most of the following SAP Supply Chain areas: Purchasing, Supplier collaboration management, Materials Management, Quality Management and Supply Chain Master Data processes.
  • Experience integrating SAP Supply Chain solutions into a broad array of non-legacy technologies and architectures.
  • In depth knowledge of SAP MM user exits, batch jobs, SAP standard reports.
  • Sound knowledge of purchasing integration with other modules of SAP
  • Certifications in either SAP MM or S/4 HANA will be an added advantage.
  • SAP S/4HANA implementation experience is added advantage.
  • Design and configuration experience in: MM Master Data, Business Partner, Sourcing, Procurement, Pricing, Inventory management, Physical inventory, Release Management, Version Management, Valuation and account assignment, Invoice verification, MM Fiori apps is a plus
     

Desired Education

• An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, finance, business management, engineering or a related field. MIS, CIS or business-related degree is preferred.
