Bringing Home the Dough
$20 - $25 an hour— based on projected academic level at time of internship
Location: Onsite—Mill Valley, CA. Must reside within 15 hours of Mill Valley prior to the internship.
- A fixed housing stipend will be provided, and reliable personal transportation is required, or intern must arrange and cover the cost of public transportation.
Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities
As a Research and Development Intern, you will work alongside a full-time Simple Mills Research and Development team member, gaining a basic understanding of sensory science and product reviews. You will capture, report, and interpret data with a steady focus to ensure complete accuracy. In this role, you will prepare, test, and evaluate food and ingredient samples using established methods and equipment.
The Research and Development Intern will need to demonstrate competency in collecting analytical data and maintaining lab records. This role will allow personal and professional growth through meaningful projects that encourage the use of current and developing skills.

Additional Ingredients: Essential Job Requirements
- Must be a rising junior or senior pursuing a 4-year degree in Agriculture, Food Science, Bakery Science and Management, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, or a related field
Salary Range- $20 - $25 an hour
