Bringing Home the Dough

The Commission Analyst plays a key role in administering, analyzing, and optimizing sales commission and incentive programs across the organization. This role ensures timely, accurate calculation and reporting of commissions while supporting plan design, modeling, and continuous improvement of performance-based compensation strategies.

 

Acting as a critical liaison between Sales, Finance, and HR, the Commission Analyst ensures alignment of incentive programs with business objectives, compliance standards, and employee engagement goals.

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

Commission Processing:

  • Accurately calculate commissions and incentives for DSD Sales and other eligible teams in alignment with plan guidelines and performance metrics.

 

Data Validation & Reporting:

  • Review, reconcile, and validate sales performance data to ensure integrity of payout calculations. Generate and distribute dashboards and reports for sales leaders and executive stakeholders.

 

Analytics & Insights:

  • Analyze compensation trends, investigate discrepancies, and provide actionable insights that enhance program effectiveness and support business goals.

 

System Management:

  • Maintain and improve commission tracking systems, models, and automation tools to streamline processes and improve accuracy.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with Finance, Sales Ops, and HR teams to ensure program alignment, resolve issues, and support strategic initiatives.

 

Plan Design Support:

  • Assist in modeling, simulating, and evaluating new commission structures and "what-if" scenarios to support business growth and performance.

 

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Maintain up-to-date compensation plan documents, audit trails, and process documentation to support transparency, compliance, and audit readiness.

 

Issue Resolution:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for commission-related inquiries, resolving issues with accuracy, professionalism, and timeliness.

 

Audit Support:

  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, reconciliations, and program details as required.

 

Market & Policy Awareness:

  • Stay current with compensation trends, regulatory updates, and incentive best practices to recommend improvements and ensure compliance.

 

 

Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, or DSD sales-related roles
  • Strong Excel skills (e.g. Power BI, pivot tables, x-lookup, v-lookup, formulas, macros)
  • Experience with commission software
  • Working knowledge of sales performance metrics and incentive structures
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Additional Ingredients: Essential Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or relevant experience preferred

Salary Range-  60000 -65000
