Bringing Home the Dough
We are seeking a skilled PLC Technician to support automation and control systems in our food processing facility. Candidate will have exeperience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance, with a strong understanding of food safety and sanitary design standards.
Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with PLC systems in a food manufacturing or processing environment
- Prficiency in ladder logic, HMI interfaces, and industrial sensors
- Knowledge of sanitary design principles and food-grade equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with CIP (Clean-in-Place) systerms and automated washdown procedures
- Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety protocols.
Additional Ingredients: Essential Job Requirements
Associate Degree in Electronics/Electrical Technology and/or equivalent formal training or work experience Completion of formal management skills training program.
Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities
- Functions as Engineer when shift Supervisor present
- Ensures plant facility and equipment are maintained according to standards.
- Assists Engineering Supervisor and Assistant Chief Engineer in the performance of assigned duties.
- Install, prgram, and maintain PLC systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) used in food processing equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled machinery such as conveyors, mixers, ovens, packaging lines, and refrigeration systems
- Collaborate with production and quality assurance tream to ensure equipment meets food safety standards
- Perform regular inspections and reventitive maintenance to minimize downtime
- Modify and optimize PLC programs to improve efficiency and product consistancy
- Manitain accurate documentation of control systems configurations and changes
- Promotes established safety programs and insure safe operating procedures and monitor employee compliance.
- Practices and ensures compliance with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
- Ensure compiance with FDA, and HACCP regulations
- Perform other duties as directed by supervision.
- Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.
