Bringing Home the Dough

Performs scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and installation tasks on the physical plant, equipment and machinery, according to standards. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect effect on product safety, legality and/or quality.

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

  • Install, program, and maintain PLC systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) used in food processing equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled machinery such as conveyors, mixers, ovens, packaging lines, and refrigeration systems.
  • Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to ensure equipment meets food safety standards.
  • Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Modify and optimize PLC programs to improve efficiency and product consistency
  • Maintain accurate documentation of control system configurations and changes.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, and HACCP regulations.
  • Ensures that work areas are cleaned and organized during assigned shift.
  • Practices and ensures compliance with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervision.
  • Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of experience with PLC systems in a food manufacturing or processing environment.
    • Proficiency in ladder logic, HMI interfaces, and industrial sensors.
    • Knowledge of sanitary design principles and food-grade equipment.
    • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment.

Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems and automated washdown procedures.
  • Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety protocols.

Additional Ingredients: Essential Job Requirements

Work Environment:

  • Food processing plant with exposure to hot, cold, and humid conditions.
  • Monday -Friday 7am-3pm, weekend availability, and emergency call-ins.
  • Strict adherence to hygiene and safety standards, including PPE usage

Compensation Data

Starting pay $30 - $35 per hour. Potential increase after 90 days of evaluation based upon competency and performance
